Focus: (Write down and sketch)
Surface treatments...sketch a quick example of each and label.
Carving: Using tools to carve out large amounts of clay usually from a leather-hard surface. The carving can create negative space or just leave deep impressions.
Etching: The use of tools (I recommend the pin tool, No. 2 pencil, or ball point pen) to create a design on the surface of the clay.
Relief: a relief is a separate piece of clay you have sculpted and added on the surface for decoration. Remember to score and slip.
Objectives:
*Symmetrical Pot should have a foot and should be burnished.
*Organic Pot should be in the process of a foot and burnished.
*Begin sketches for Theme Pinch Pot with lid. Remember to write 3 ideas down.
*IF sketch is approved by me, you may begin 3rd pinch pot.
